Scope of This Policy
This refund policy applies only to physical products (nutritional supplements) purchased through the Welbewust Life website. It does not cover therapy services or digital products, which are non-refundable (see Non-Refundable Services & Digital Products below). We adhere to Dutch consumer protection laws, including the right of withdrawal, for product returns[1]. Our goal is to be fair and clear about when you can get a refund on products, while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
Eligible Products for Return (Supplements)
You have the right to return unopened, unused supplement products within 14 days of receiving them for a full refund, in accordance with Dutch and EU consumer law[1]. To be eligible for a return:
Timeframe: The return process must be initiated within 6 calendar days of the delivery date. (This 14-day “cooling-off period” starts the day after you receive the product[1].)
Product Condition: Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging. The safety seal and packaging must be intact.
Original Condition: The product should be returned in the same condition you received it, without any signs of use or tampering.
Proof of Purchase: Please provide the order number, purchase receipt, or invoice so we can verify the purchase.
Why these conditions? For health and hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of any product that has been opened or had its seal broken[2]. Supplements are ingestible goods, and once the seal is broken, we cannot guarantee their safety for resale. Thank you for understanding that opened or used products are not eligible for refunds.
Non-Refundable Services & Digital Products
Therapy sessions, coaching services, and digital products (such as e-books, downloadable materials, or online courses) are not eligible for refund or cancellation. All service sales are final. This is because services (like therapy appointments) are delivered by professionals’ time, and digital products are accessible immediately upon purchase, which by their nature cannot be “returned.”
Please note that all therapy and coaching services are provided on a self-pay basis and are not handled via insurance. We do not bill any services through health insurance, and insurance companies will not reimburse these services. By booking a therapy session or purchasing a digital product, you agree that no refunds or insurance claims can be made for these items. If you have to reschedule a therapy appointment, please contact us in advance – but payments for services already provided (or missed without notice) cannot be refunded. We appreciate your understanding.
How to Initiate a Return (Supplements)
If you meet the return eligibility conditions for a supplement product, follow these steps to initiate a return:
Contact Us by Email: Email us at info@welbewustpsycholoog.nl within 14 days of delivery to inform us that you want to return your product. Please include your order number, the name of the product you wish to return, and your reason for returning (optional – you are not required to give a reason by law[1], but your feedback is helpful to us).
Receive Return Instructions: We will respond via email with confirmation and further instructions, including the return shipping address (see below). We aim to reply quickly and will provide any forms or details you might need to include in the return package.
Pack the Item Securely: Ensure the supplement is securely packed in its original packaging (including any boxes or inserts it came with). Do not open the seal. Include a copy of your order confirmation or invoice if possible, so we can identify the return.
Ship the Package: Mail the product to the provided return address. For your convenience, the return address is:

Please note that you are responsible for the return shipping costs, except in cases of a defective or incorrect product received[3]. We do not provide a prepaid return label, so you will need to arrange shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and keeping your postage receipt. This way, you have proof of return shipment in case of any issues.
Send Notification (Optional): Once you have shipped the return, you can email us the tracking number (if available) so we can also monitor the return shipment status.
Return Shipping Costs: As noted above, customers are generally responsible for paying the return shipping costs for sending back supplements. If the return is due to an error on our part – for example, if we sent the wrong item or the product arrived damaged – please contact us. In such cases, we will work with you to correct the issue and we may cover the return shipping or provide another solution. Under normal circumstances (change of mind, etc.), the cost of return postage is paid by you, the customer[3].
Refund Processing
Once we receive your returned item, we will notify you via email. We will then inspect the product to ensure it meets the return conditions (unopened, unused, undamaged). This inspection is usually completed within a few business days of receipt.
If the return is approved: We will process your refund as soon as possible. The refund will be for the purchase price of the product (and include any standard delivery costs if your entire order is returned, as required by law[1]). The refund will be issued to your original method of payment. Please note that it may take a few additional days for your bank or credit card company to post the refund to your account, depending on their processing times. We aim to have refunds processed on our end within 7 days of receiving the return.
If the return is not approved: If the item does not meet the conditions (for example, if we find the seal was broken or the return was initiated beyond 14 days), we will contact you via email to explain the issue. In such cases, no refund can be issued, and we can either send the product back to you (at your cost) or dispose of it, according to your preference. We will always work with you to find a fair solution within the bounds of our policy.
We strive to handle all returns and refunds promptly and fairly. Our team will keep you informed at each step – from the time you initiate a return request, to when we receive the item, and when the refund is issued.
